TOWCESTER has verified an interest in staging the throughout this year's Derby after the prominent marathon competitors was a noteworthy omission from the 2026 GBGB open-race calendar.

Talks are presently continuous in between the Northamptonshire location and the GBGB to host the eight-bend competitors throughout the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the Classic, with the goal of still running the standard Dorando Marathon race on Derby last night.

GBGB's business director Mark Moisley stated: "We are not in a position to make any statement concerning this year's TV Trophy but we are enthusiastic that the deal can be reached by the end of the week."

"I'll look to provide him a trial somewhere quickly."
